Bedford Co. man admits to viewing child porn, tells police that 'he needs help,' PSP says

Bedford County, PA (WJAC) — State police in Bedford County say a Hopewell man is facing charges after he allegedly admitted to repeatedly viewing child pornography. According to the affidavit, troopers say 24-year-old Donald Steele reportedly came to the barracks, last October, to report that he has viewed the pornographic images and that "he needs help." Authorities say Steele told investigators that he views the images and videos, on various websites, and admitted to downloading some of them on an old iPod.

Nearly 2 dozen charged in Cambria County drug roundup

JOHNSTOWN, Pa (WJAC) — Cambria County District Attorney Greg Neugebauer says 22 people are facing drug charges after a sweep across the Johnstown area. Over the past week, authorities say the suspects were taken into custody on felony arrest warrants – most of the charges involving the delivery of drugs such as crack cocaine, methamphetamine and heroin. According to the district attorney’s office, the following individuals have been apprehended and arraigned at the Cambria County Prison:

State funding will help DelGrosso Foods expand operations, double pasta sauce production

TIPTON, Pa. (WJAC) — Gov. Tom Wolf announced Monday that DelGrosso Foods will receive $1.5 million to help expand manufacturing operations in Blair County. The Pennsylvania-based company, the oldest family-owned pasta sauce producer in the United States, will convert a 166,000 square-foot vacant facility in Antis Township into an expanded pasta sauce manufacturing space which will allow the company to double its production. “DelGrosso Foods is a nationally recognized food manufacturer known by many Pennsylvanians, whether in the grocery store aisle or at home in our kitchens, and it has supplied consumers across the country with its trusted products for decades,” said Gov.

Veterans' groups eager to see cannabis reclassified, hope move expands care options

(TND) — Veterans' groups are applauding news that the federal government might reclassify marijuana as a less dangerous drug. AMVETS National Executive Director Joe Chenelly said Wednesday that such a move would be an “important step forward.” And Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America CEO Allison Jaslow said greater access to cannabis could be a “game-changer” for veterans’ health care. The Drug Enforcement Administration will reportedly move to reclassify marijuana, or cannabis, as a Schedule III substance.
