CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — Following last week's shooting in Johnstown, the number of homicides in Cambria County has now reached double digits for this year alone.
6 News reached out to law enforcement officials and local community members to see what's being done to stop the violent trend.
Cambria County District Attorney Greg Neugebauer says the first step is strengthening community relations.
"I know lots of citizens are concerned. Particularly, when you look at people that have maybe lived in their home for 30 or 40 years, and their neighborhood has changed.
Jefferson Co., PA (WJAC) — State police in Jefferson County say a Brookville man is facing multiple animal cruelty charges after admitting to drowning two kittens in a bucket of water.
Troopers say an investigation into the animal cruelty complaint began in late September when neighbors heard meowing coming from a property along Timberview Alley in Corsica Borough.
Police say the neighbors went to investigate the noise themselves after being approached by a stray kitten that had wandered from the property.

Boeing told federal regulators Thursday how it plans to fix the safety and quality problems that have plagued its aircraft-manufacturing work in recent years.
The Federal Aviation Administration required the company to produce a turnaround plan after one of its jetliners suffered a blowout of a fuselage panel during an Alaska Airlines flight in January.
“This is a guide for a new way for Boeing to do business,” FAA Administrator Mike Whitaker said after he met with senior company leaders.
