Coroner IDs contractor who died prior to fire at Blair Co. lawn care dealership

2nd UPDATE | Blair Co., PA (WJAC) — Blair County coroner Patty Ross has identified the contractor who died Tuesday at the Bobcat of Martinsburg dealership in North Woodbury Township. Investigators say Rodney Walters, of Altoona, reportedly suffered a medical episode prior to the fire. Ross says an autopsy revealed that Walters suffered a sudden cardiac event. No further details surrounding his death have been provided at this time. Longtime Steelers assistant coach John Mitchell retires after 29 years with team

Pittsburgh (WJAC) — The Pittsburgh Steelers announced that longtime assistant head coach John Mitchell is retiring after 29 years with the Black & Gold. Prior to serving under head coaches Bill Cowher and Mike Tomlin, Mitchell, an Alabama native, spent several years as an assistant for the University of Alabama, as well as at the University of Arkansas and LSU. Parents share tragic tale of trooper son killed by impaired driver to warn students

West Branch Area High School students heard from the parents of a former state trooper who was killed by an impaired driver in 2008. During the speech on Tuesday, the Iwaniec family said that there have been more than 170,000 DUI-related deaths over the last 16 years. They spoke to West Branch students specifically about one of those, their son kenton, who was killed while driving home from work. On March 27, 2008, state trooper Kenton Iwaniec finished his shift in Chester County and began to drive home.

Steelers guard Alan Faneca enters Hall of Fame

CANTON, Ohio (AP) — Alan Faneca overcame bouts with epilepsy to become one of the premier offensive linemen in the NFL. He's now been inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. A six-time All-Pro with Pittsburgh in his 10 seasons there, he also was a lead blocker and locker room presence for the Jets for two years. Faneca completed his stellar career with one season in Arizona. Faneca, who won a Super Bowl with the Steelers, takes daily pills to deal with his condition and has not had a seizure in about eight years.
