Utah woman ID'd as female found near I-80 in Clearfield

Clearfield Co., PA (WJAC) — State police have released new details on the investigation into a woman whose body was found in a wooded area near Interstate 80 in Clearfield County earlier this month. Police have identified the woman as Ivana Meandzija, of Utah. Investigators say her body was found on the morning of May 2nd by a construction worker in an area between Hoopup Road and the I-80 westbound 123 off-ramp.

'Lewiston Strong:' Just-In-Time Recreation reopens for first time since mass shooting

LEWISTON, Maine (WGME) – Just-In-Time Recreation in Lewiston is back open for the first time since the tragic mass shooting in October. The bowling alley was a pillar in the community before the shooting, and now it’s going to be a pillar as the healing continues. Just-In-Time Recreation has been revamped, and the tributes include 18 special pins in honor of the 18 loves lost on Oct. 25. The phrase “Lewiston Strong” can be seen all over the beer ads and the lanes.

Annual Bandshell Bark Dog Walk and Festival draws a crowd

ROXBURY, Pa. (WJAC) — The fourteenth annual Bandshell Bark Dog Walk and Festival took place Saturday in Roxbury. The goal of the event was to raise money to support upkeep of the Roxbury Bandshell as well as supporting the Humane Society of Cambria County. There were weenie dog races, activities and contests to judge the cutest pup, loudest bark and much more. This year, organizers had the humane society there with a rabies clinic as well as the opportunity for micro-chipping.

Court dismisses lawsuit filed by ex-PSU football trainer, Beta Theta Pi adviser

CENTRE COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — A lawsuit filed by former Penn State football team trainer Tim Bream against the university has been dismissed in Centre County court. Bream claimed Penn State violated NCAA guidelines in reducing his responsibilities to avoid the appearance of scandal or impropriety. Bream was a live-in adviser at the fraternity house where a party led to the death of Timothy Piazza in 2017. Penn State says Bream never told them he was living at the fraternity.

New pelvic health facility opens in Johnstown area

Johnstown, PA (WJAC) — Most people know about physical therapy for a broken arm or a bad back, but you might not have heard of physical therapy for your "pelvic floor." It's called "pelvic physical therapy" and there's a new practice for it in the Johnstown area. Delsignore Core & Pelvic Health held a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house on Monday at its facility along Goucher Street. It's a place where both men and women can come to address their pelvic health related concerns, from urinary leakage and pain with intercourse, to post-prostate surgery and post-partum care.
