Community looks to help Cambria Co. fire department buy new truck

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WJAC) — A community in Johnstown is coming together to help its local fire department after an unfortunate event. In January, West Hills Regional Fire Department's ladder truck caught on fire, leaving the fire station without a critical piece of equipment. It's been almost three months since the event and West Hills Fire Department’s fire chief Robert Tauber says they’re still not sure how much money the insurance will reimburse the department for a new truck that’s expected to cost between $900,000 to a million dollars.

Penn Highlands implements web cameras at NICU unit

DuBois, PA — According to Suzanne McCullough, Director of Penn Highland's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, they implemented a NICVIEW web camera to provide 24/7 access for family members to see their newborns. She said the parents receive a log in for the online portal to see their babies virtually anytime, anywhere. McCullough said the cameras have been up and running for about a week now. Since then, she said they've connected with family members and friends from at least six different states.

Rolling Stones mark 100th concert at Gillette Stadium

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (WJAR) — The Rolling Stones made history in Foxborough Thursday night as they performed the venue's 100th concert at the Gillette Stadium. It's part of their Hackney Diamonds Tour. The rock and roll hall of famers also performed the first concert in Gillette Stadium history on Sept. 2, 2002. NBC 10 talked with fans who traveled from as far as Nova Scotia to see the band. For many, it's not the first time they're seeing The Rolling Stones perform.

'A win for all:' CPI announces expansion with new medical training facility

CENTRE COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — A long-discussed expansion of a Centre County educational facility is again in the works with the focus on providing training for those interested in medical related careers. At the Central Pennsylvania Institute of Science and Technology, many career training classes are full. Officials have discussed plans for a new health science building for nearly a decade and now, a proposed 35 -thousand square foot building is once again on the drawing board.
