BEDFORD COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — State police say a Bedford man who was charged with murder over the weekend is accused of shooting his cousin twice before dragging his body to a hole, burying his body under tires and burning his body after dousing him with kerosene.
Derek Louk faces first and third-degree murder, criminal homicide, aggravated assault, abuse of a corpse and other related charges, according to the criminal complaint related to the case.
CENTRE COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — In just over a week, the Pennsylvania Special Olympics summer games will be held once again at Penn State, with the support of the local community.
That support is a key reason the Special Olympics summer games remain at Penn State, with two thousand athletes from across the state, along with 750 coaches, at various university facilities, assisted by community volunteers.

We are one week into the fall season and that means flu season is quickly approaching. This week, Penn State University Health Services is offeringstudent vaccine clinics on the University Park campus. All students are able to go to the HUB to get this year's flu vaccine for $25.
According to University Health Services, more than 1,000 students experienced flu-like symptoms last year and four different flu sub-types were identified on campus.
WASHINGTON (7News) — A small zip-lock bag filled with a substance that field tested positive as cocaine was found inside a heavily trafficked area of the U.S. Capitol Police (USCP) Headquarters, according to a statement from the agency. Officials said they are looking to find out why the one-inch by one-inch bag was found in a second-floor hallway at around 1 p.m. Wednesday. USCP said they will perform DNA and other forms of testing on the baggie.
Pittsburgh (WJAC) — Pittsburgh Steelers veteran defensive lineman Cameron Heywardreturned to practice on Wednesday, six weeks after he underwent surgery to repair his hamstring.
The 34-year-old has been sidelined since exiting the Steelers' Week 1 contest against the San Francisco 49ers.
Pittsburgh says Heyward remains on the Injured Reserve list and the team has 21 days to reactivate him to the 53-man roster.
It is unclear if Heyward will return to the active roster prior to Pittsburgh's matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
