Clearfield County Fair Returns After 2020 Hiatus

CLEARFIELD COUNTY, PA — The Clearfield County Fair made it’s long-awaited return today after having to cancel in 2020. The full complement of rides, food and fun were back once again. The President of the fair, David Franson, says they’re excited to come back after a period of tough times. “We’re so happy to be back and be able toput the fair on again this year,” he exclaimed. “It was a rough year for everybody, especially in the community, and we’re just glad to be back and be able to provide something fun for the community.

Man pleads guilty in wrong-way DUI crash that killed Ligonier Township officer

GREENSBURG - A man charged with killing a western Pennsylvania police officer in a wrong-way crash while he was intoxicated has pleaded guilty to charges in the case. Clair Fink pleaded guilty Friday to third-degree murder and drunken driving charges over the head-on crash that killed Ligonier Township Police Lt. Eric Eslary last year. The crash left Eslary's police dog injured. Thirty-three-year-old Fink made the plea at a brief hearing in Westmoreland County court.

Richland Holiday Inn Express sold, owners announce

1 of 8 charged in kidnapping, murder of Indiana Co. man pleads guilty but mentally ill

INDIANA COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — Authorities say one of eight individuals charged in the 2022 kidnapping and killing of a 19-year-old Indiana County man is facing life in prison after pleading guilty but mentally ill. Taylyn Edwards, now age 20, of Johnstown, reportedly conspired with seven others to kidnap and kill Hayden Garreffa. Police say Garreffa's body was found in a remote, wooded area in Brush Valley Township in October of 2022.
