CLEARFIELD COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC)-- — Treasure Lake security officers were able to see the results of their actions Saturday when an owl they saved a month ago was able to be released. The owl was released around the entrance to Treasure Lake in Clearfield County around 5 p.m. after coming back from Tamarack Wildlife Center near Erie, Treasure Lake security officer David Beck said. According to Beck, he was on duty about a month ago and found the owl down over a bank, which had been struck by a car.

ALTOONA — Minor league baseball teams go through player personnel turnover from year to year. The Altoona Curve are no different. But, this year's team is loaded with players, who have experience at the MILB Double-A level. The opening day roster has 15 players that spent time with the Curve during the 2018 campaign. This group will be led by third-year Curve Manager Michael Ryan. He has directed the club to two straight division titles, during his time in Altoona.

WASHINGTON (TND) — An American soldier was recently arrested in Russia on charges of criminal misconduct, according to the U.S. Army. The National Desk confirmed the news with Army Spokeswoman Cynthia O. Smith. Smith on Monday said Russian authorities in Vladivostok, a major military and commercial Pacific port, detained the soldier four days prior. A 20-year-old Bellwood man has been charged after he allegedly broke into a local hardware store in June and stole multiple guns. According to a probable-cause affidavit, Seth Baney broke into Tanner’s Hardware & Building Supplies in Bellwood Borough between 1 and 3 a.m. June 19. A glass door at the store had been broken and police recovered blood evidence from the scene. During an interview with Bellwood police in September, Baney allegedly denied breaking into the store, but claimed he heard a juvenile was the culprit.
