JOHNSTOWN, Pa. -- A Johnstown restaurant that was ordered to temporarily close after failing a health inspection Thursday has reopened. Fuji Japanese Steakhouse at the Galleria Mall in Johnstown reopened Friday after passing a health inspection. According to the health inspection report, the Department of Agriculture ordered Fuji to temporarily close after it found a total of 42 live roaches, 15 roach eggs and 16 dead roaches throughout the facility.

Home Depot removes 'peeping tom' decoration after complaints

Home Depot in Canada has pulled a Halloween decoration off of its shelves following complaints from customers. The decoration is called the “Scary Pepper Creeper.” The description on Home Depot’s website read that the decoration’s “realistic face looks just like a real man is peering through the window at you.” However, one customer didn’t see the humor in the decoration. She said the product “makes light” of a serious situation.

Man shoots, kills 2 teens after alleged robbery attempt

NORRISTOWN, Pa. (AP) — Authorities say they are investigating the shooting deaths of two teenagers following an alleged robbery attempt in southeastern Pennsylvania. The Montgomery County district attorney and Norristown police said the shooting occurred in an alley in Norristown at about 8 p.m. Friday night. Police and prosecutors said their initial investigation indicated that the shooter was walking to his car from a home when two teenagers pulled a gun on him and tried to rob him.

Suspect arrested nearly 3 years after Johnstown credit union robbery

Johnstown, PA (WJAC) — Johnstown police say a local man is behind bars, nearly three years after he allegedly robbed a credit union in the city. Police say Derrick Smith, 33, was taken into custody last week on charges related to the robbery of the Franklin Johnstown Federal Credit Union in February of 2020. Authorities say Smith allegedly robbed the credit union, located along Vine Street, and made off with over $1,100 in unmarked bills.
