Pittsburgh (WJAC) — Pittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Mitch Keller made history this week by setting a new franchise record for most strikeouts in a single-season by a right-handed pitcher.
Keller recorded his 210th strikeout Tuesday night against Philadelphia, surpassing former Pirate AJ Burnett on the list.
Only two other pitchers in team history, left-handers Bob Veale and Oliver Perez, have more strikeouts in a single season for the Pirates.
