Man charged in deadly shooting of missing Uber driver

MONROEVILLE, Pa. (WJAC) Allegheny County police say they've arrested the man they believe is responsible for the death of 38-year-old Christina Spicuzza, of Turtle Creek. Police say Spicuzza was reported missing Feb. 11 after her family hadn't heard from her the day before. They say she had been taking Uber fares when she vanished.

County detectives say she was found Saturday on a wooded hillside along Rosecrest Drive in Pitcairn. She died from a single gunshot wound.

Authorities say an investigation led them to 22-year-old Calvin Crew, of Penn Hills.

Detectives got a warrant for Crew's arrest and took him into custody just before 7 p.m. Thursday in Penn Hills.

They say Crew faces charges of criminal homicide, robbery and tampering with evidence.

He'll be taken to the Allegheny County Jail to await arraignment.

County police say they'll give an update at the department’s headquarters Friday at 10 a.m.
