ALTOONA, Pa. - Two Altoona parents are facing dozens of child endangerment charges stemming from an ongoing child pornography investigation being conducted by Altoona police.
Angela Meadows, 35, is facing 62 counts of endangering the welfare of children, and Joshua Dickson, 32, is facing 59 counts of endangering the welfare of children.
According to a complaint, Meadows contacted police about an ongoing children pornography investigation stemming from the arrest of Stephen Apostulo.
Meadows told police she had a flash drive and DVDs belonging to Apostulo labeled "pictures" at her apartment that he left before his arrest.
Apostulo was arrested for a May robbery June 5 and, during an interview with police, he admitted to being addicted to meth and child pornography, which prompted the child pornography investigation, according to police.
Police said they went to Meadows' apartment June 12 to obtain the items, and while there, Dickson showed up to the apartment.
Police said Dickson made comments that he knew individuals associated with child pornography and consented to an interview at the Altoona Police Department.
During the interview, Dickson spoke about his association with Apostulo, Apostulo's associates, including Meadows, and about the ongoing child pornography investigation and Meadows' drug use, according to police.
Police said they then interviewed Meadows at the station, and she told them about her association with the two men, the child pornography investigation and her drug addiction.
According to police, she was propositioned by associates of the alleged child pornography ring to have her children, ages 9 and 13, to be photographed in exchanged for money.
According to the complaint, she told police that she and Dickson would smoke meth together at his apartment and that her two children would babysit Dickson's two children, ages two-years and 11 months, while they smoked.
Meadows said that this happened at least 14 different times over the past two months and that she provided the 13-year-old with marijuana six times and a Xanax pill once, according to police.
Meadows is in the Blair County Prison on $35,000 bail; Dickson on $50,000. Both have preliminary hearings set for June 20.
Police said the child pornography investigation is ongoing.
