The 70th annual Farmer's and Threshermen's Jubilee in New Centerville, PA, kicked off on Wednesday and continues until the end of the weekend.
Crowds gathered to witness the wonders of antique steam engines and threshing machines that were a staple in every-day life some decades ago.
The event featured an old time sawmill, a cider mill, and some truck and tractor pulls among many other attractions.
Organizers emphasize the importance of keeping local history alive and the value it brings to new generations.
“It’s keeping the history alive," said Clark Brocht, Publicity Chairman of the Farmers and Threshermen's Jubilee. "In a generation or so we lose our history. So, ever reminding the younger generation as they come along that this is the way it used to be and aren’t you lucky you don’t have to live this way anymore.”
Admission costs 5 dollars at the gate with a portion of the proceeds going towards the Centerville Rural Volunteer Fire Company.
