PennDOT officials offered an early traffic alert in Centre County as work continues on the Route 322 project in the Potters Mills area.

There are going to be added headaches for drivers for most of this month.

It’s a challenging, lengthy, highway construction project building a new stretch of Route 322 from Seven Moutains into Potters Mills and the intersection with Route 144.

The project is now in its fourth year, and motorists have already encountered plenty of frustrations and delays, but the next phase, starting June 17, could top them all.

PennDOT officials say drivers traveling from Seven Mountains to Potters Mills could encounter delays of one to two hours.

PennDOT admits for Route 322 motorists in the area for the next few weeks, the easiest solution would be to find alternate routes.
