UNIVERSITY PARK - Students face abortion photos on the campus of Penn State as part of a traveling campus tour. The discussion now is where you draw the line between education and indecency.
“Ew, just ew,” said graduate student Kylie McCool, as she walked by.
"Created Equal's" display included several large photos of pre-born children and depicting what late-term abortion looks like.
"The victims of abortion cannot speak out and tell their own stories for themselves so we show what's happens to them," said assistant organizer Emma Mysko.
The photo exhibit spread out across the lawn near the library plaza on campus.
"It's not fair to show these images to people, when there are no sources to them, they're being cruel to people who are just walking through, trying to go to class," McCool said.
Many student becoming students became upset as they noticed the pictures.
"This is unnecessary, the university should be ashamed they allowed this to happen," said a Penn State student.
Some students became so upset that protests broke out on campus.
"These images are extremely graphic and their telling a woman that they don't have the right to choose what they do with their own body," said protestor Rylie Cooper.
According to organizers, the project attempts to create a debate on campus -- to influence future decision-makers and leaders. Signs were falling every few minutes as some witnesses became furious.
"We kind of expected this, we would just say to them that you're entitled to your opinion, we would love to have dialogue with you," said Mysko.
The organization plans to take the message to the University of Pittsburgh next.
