EAST PROVIDENCE TOWNSHIP – State police in Bedford County are investigating an attempted robbery at the Exxon Mobil in East Providence Township.
Police said the incident happened last Thursday at 11:45 p.m.
Officers said the man entered the store with a black hunting knife demanding cash.
When the cashier refused and called the police, the suspect ran away from the store.
Surveillance video caught a black SUV fleeing a nearby property moments later.
The suspect is described as thin, around 5 feet 2 inches to 5 feet 4 inches tall, and was wearing a black or dark blue sweat shirt.
Anyone with information is asked to call state police.
