Coroner IDs victim of fatal crash in Adams Township

Cambria Co., PA (WJAC) Cambria County Coroner Jeff Lees has identified the victim of Wednesday night's fatal crash in Adams Township. Authorities say 33-year-old Billy Burggraf, of South Fork, was traveling westbound on Locust Street, towards the Route 219 interchange, when she lost control of her vehicle.

Authorities say 33-year-old Billy Burggraf, of South Fork, was traveling westbound on Locust Street, towards the Route 219 interchange, when she lost control of her vehicle.

Investigators say the vehicle then traveled through a grassy area before striking a lamp pole and a tree.

First responders say Burggraf was "heavily entrapped" inside the vehicle.

Lees says she died as a result of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.

UPDATE:

Cambria County Coroner Jeff Lees confirms one person was killed in a single vehicle crash on Rt. 869.

He told 6News, "For an unknown reason, the vehicle left the roadway, struck a pole and then struck a tree. The driver of that vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene by the coroner's office."

Lees says an autopsy will be performed Thursday to determine the cause of death.

The victim's identity is being withheld for the time being.

Cambria County Coroner Jeff Lees was called to the scene of a fatal crash Wednesday evening in Adams Township.

According to Cambria County 911, the crash happened on Rt. 869 (Locust St.) near the Rt. 219 interchange. Rt. 869 is shut down as crews reconstruct the scene.
