Clearfield Co., PA (WJAC) — Residents and community members in Clearfield Borough are mourning the loss of of one of their own following a fire earlier this week.
The Ritz Theater confirmed on its Facebook page that Fred Brown, who was a longtime employee of the theater, passed away Wednesday night.
Clearfield Mayor Mason Strouse posted to his Facebook page that Brown had been badly burned in a fire Tuesday afternoon on West Front Street.
911 officials say Brown was flown to UPMC Mercy hospital in Pittsburgh after escaping the blaze.
State police are still investigating the cause of Tuesday's fire.
